Must know the following about URC Smart Card :-

1. The life of URC Card is 10 years.

 

2. In case of DC negate/inconvenience of ESM Smart Card will be validated once in a year at the nearest URC.

 

3. The system of obtaining NOC from one URC to another URC is done away.

 

4. Levying of penalties of Rs.500/Rs.1000 on loss of Smart Card is done away.

 

5. All Chakra series awardee & War Widows/NoK are issued Cards, free of cost by M/s SCPL.

 

6. All damaged/corrupted Cards due to technical failure of the Chip will be replaced free of cost by M/s SCPL.

 

7. Fresh cards will be activated by the CCTSC/URC in presence of the applicant and password issued. Individuals can reset the password as per their choice at the CCTSC/URC.

 

8. Unauthorised Cards if detected, will be destroyed in situ by the URC/Station HQ/local military authorities & record maintained.

 

9. Issue of Canteen Smart Card to the unauthorised individual is a punishable offence.

 

10. Canteen Smart Card will be issued by M/s SCPL within 30 days (but not later than 45 days on receipt of application from the URC.

 

11. URC will hand over the card to the individual within ten working days failing which the cards will be  hotlisted.

 

12. Misuse of card if any, will be immediately brought to the notice of Chairman URC.

 

13.The colour of ESM Smart Card Application Form is green & counter signing authority is Station HQ/ZSWB, whichever in close vicinity of the ESM (in the rank of Colonel/Director or equivalent). A copy of PPO issued by dependent CDA to be attached.

 

14. The Cost of Card is Rs. 135/-. However due to hike in GST, the cost of Card is enhanced to Rs. 170/- wef 01.7.2021.

 

15. The charges of URC Card has been waived off to the NoKs/Dependents/Widows where CSD Beneficiaries have lost their lives due to CoVid-19.

Applicants need to support death certificate which should clearly mentioned death due to CoVid-19.

 

16. Dependent Card can be used for the grocery items upto Rs.3,200/- only.

 

17. In case of first time loss of URC Card, We need to pay for the Grocery Card  Rs. 300/- & Liquor Card Rs.500/-.

However in case of 2nd time loss, We need to pay Rs.1,000/- for Grocery Card & Rs.1,000/- for Liquor Card alongwith the cost of Card Rs. 170/- each.

However the same ts done away.

 

18. In case anyone looking for new card, you may receive the following messages in your registered mobile phone.

 

"Dear Customer, Your Canteen Smart Card Application has been received [SMART CHIP NOIDA]".

 

"Dear Customer, Your Canteen Smart Card prepared. File no. is [S/TVM/18830]. Contact URC after 15-20 working days. (SCPL)".

 

19. There is a provision of priority to the Handicapped & Disabled personnel at URC who is permitted to accompany an attendent for the assistance.

 

20. Bronze Cards : Apart from individual smart cards, all URCs have been issued with Bronze Cards based on dependency. The aim of issuing Bronze Card to URCs is to cater for contingencies like loss of individual smart card, time delay in processing of new individual cards & also to facilitate units during regular barakhana/collective issue of liquor.

 

21. Canteen Smart Cards will be used only for gaining access to URCs.

Canteen Smart Cards will not be used as identify proof for any other purpose.

 

22. In case the canteen card is getting expired, One may apply for replacement before six months.
