Helping the Pre - 2006 Hony Nb Subs. The culprit in this case is not Min of Def. They have done their job. PCDA (Pensions) Prayagraj issued Circular 555 to implement OROP in 2016. But the Min of Def took a decision to allow Pre - 2006 Hony Nb Subs also the pension of Nb Sub w.e.f. Jan 2006. It means the Pre 0 2006 Hony Nb Subs are to get pension of NbSub. The circular 631 of 2020 therefore supersedes Circular555. The Circular 555 has columns for Hony Nb Subs and also Nb Subs. Therefore, PCDA (Pensions) Prayagraj should have amended Circular 555 to remove the column of Hony Nb Subs and make column heading of Nb Sub as Hony Nb Subs / Nb Subs. The PCDA (Pensions) Prayagraj informed all banks to revise pension of Pre - 2006 Hony Nb Subs from Jan 2016 at R 21653 which is pension of Hony Nb Sub. They simply took the pension of Hony Nb Sub  with pensionable service of 24 years (most of the Pre - 2006 Hony Nb Subs I spoke to informed that they served for 24 years)of Rs 8,424 in Circular 555 of OROP ignoring issue of Circular 631 and multiplied with fitment factor of 2.57 = 2.57 x 8424 = Rs21,653. It is so illogical that PCDA (Pensions) enhaces pension of Pre - 2006 Hony Nb Subs to that of Nb Sub from Jan 2006 to Jun 2014. You can even check up with any SBI whether they paid pension of Nb Sub after Jul 2014. These Hony Nb Subs are still getting pension of Hony Nb Subs from Jul 2014. Unless PCDA (Pensions) Prayagraj advises all banks to refer to Circular 630 and pay pension of Nb Sub to all Pre - 2006 Hony Nb Subs, these Ex-Servicemen will continue to suffer less pension.
