Dear Veterans ,
For those who are migrated to SPARSH and yet not received user id and password, I am told when I was in the office of PCDA (Pensions) Prayagraj from 13 to 15 Dec 2022 that SPARSH team collects the data of pensioner from banks. It is seen few of the pensioners have (a) not given their mobile no to their banks due to ignorance or (b) lost their mobile and bought a new one with a different mobile number but not updated it in their bank as per KYC or (c) Have changed their mobile no and did not inform the bank. In such cases, the SMS giving user id and password are not sent to them though migrated. Now due to persistent demand from such pensioners, the SPARSH has put up a scroll where one can lodge a complaint of not receiving the user id and password.
One has to go to Google and enter *pcdapension.nic.in/pcda/lodge-complaint/php*.
A page opens up. It has 16 fields which such a pensioner has to enter.
1. PPO No Original.
2. Latest PPO No.
3. Corr PPO No.
4. Service Type (dropdown menu-Army/Navy/IAF/Defence Civilian)
5. Mobile No. (i.e. current mobile no).
6. Email id (if held)
7. Acct No.
8. Description of complaint (in box. one can upload any document if one wants to).
9. Name of Applicant (same as in PPO).
10. Service No of Pensioner.
11. Type of complaint (dropdown menu).
12. PDA(SPARSH).
13. Name of Bank
14. CPPC of Bank.
15. Image Verification.
16. Submit.
I would request you to advise all those who are NOT yet migrated to SPARSH to immediately check up from their bank whether their mobile no is updated. Also getting email id is just a 2 minute job. Even if the widow is old, her children or grand children have email ids. Such widows can give their email. My wife does not have either mobile or email id. But she uses my mobile no for her Aadhaar card or bank account or any other correspondence.
Due to digitisation email id has assumed great importance. The plea of " We are not computer savvy" may not help such people. I have seen such old and illiterate widows but we cannot help as the digitisation is becoming the in - thing. You know Govt of India is going to set up a Digital University soon. So we have no other option but to go with the stream if we want to get things done.
warm regards,
Brig CS Vidyasagar (Retd)
