GUIDELINES AND CEILING RATES OF LIVER TRANSPLANT SURGERY IN RESPECT OF ECHS BENEFICIARIES

1. Further to CO ECHS letter No B/49773/AG/ECHS/Rates/Policy dated 28 Mar 2013 and Para 2(vi) of GoI, MoH&FW letter No S-14025/3/2010-MS/CGHS(P) dated 16 Jan 2013.

2. Fwg amdts may pl be carried out at Para 2 (g) of CO ECHS letter under ref:-

Para 2(q). Reimbursement Criteria. As liver Transplant Surgery is a planned surgery, prior permission of the standing committee has to be obtained before the surgery is undertaken.

Para 2(q). Reimbursement Criteria. As Liver Transplant Surgery is a planned surgery and therefore, prior permission has to be obtained before the surgery is undertaken. However, if for some reason it is done in emergency to save the life of the patient, the Standing Committee shall consider the cases referred to it for recommending grant of ex-post-facto permission on a case to case basis.
