Central Govt. is on austerity measure, cuts expenditure
Ministry of finance is again on austerity exercise. In an office memorandum issued on 18.09.2013, Ministry of Finance asked all departments to cut 10% in non plan expenditure, restrict seminar and conferences, banned purchase of vehicles, minimize expenditure on foreign and domestic travel of officers, banned creation of new posts etc.Please click here for the original letter - http://www.finmin.nic.in/the_ministry/dept_expenditure/notification/emre/ExpMan_EcoMeasure18092013.pdf
