Likely D.A. from July 2014 for central employees

Based on the AICPIN index for April 2014 (increase of 3 points) it can be assumed that central employees are likely to be awarded with a 7% increase in Dearness Allowance from 1st July 2014. The index number of May and June 2014 (yet to be published) will definitely come into play for the actual calculation. Even if the trend of April'14 continues (3 points increase in next two months), the D.A. will be still 7%. Even 1 point increase in the next two months will also take the total D.A. payable as 107%. In the worst scenario, no increase or even decrease in the next two months (which is a bit unlikely at this point of time) may take the D.A. @6% only.
So taking all probabilities in mind, we predict a 7% increase of D.A. w.e.f 01.07.2014
