OROP - PROGRESS SO FAR (CONTRIBUTED BY BRIG V - RAHEJA)
Govt. announced grant of One rank one Pension(OROP) to Armed forces but is yet to implement,
Judges granted it to themselves!
Higher Bureaucrats got it through modified parity.What about other Central & State Govt. Pensioners?

Due to non availability of the Defence minister the meeting with PM as below was postponed.

Progress on pending matters related to veterans are covered in succeeding paragraphs.
OROP. Meeting with Def Min was held on 12 June, wherein CGDA had been directed to convene meetings with Def HQ and come up with the financial outlay. It is informally learnt that some discussions have been held. It is understood that next meeting with Def Min is on 30 June with meeting with PM on 4 Jul.
Def HQ have prepared Draft Govt Letter, some tables that are available on Blog site of Air Marshal Sharad Savur are reproduced below:
