On Monday, 2nd of March, 2015, Mr. Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Member of
Parliament, met Defence Minister Mr. Manohar Parrikar to enquire about
the status of implementation of One Rank, One Pension (OROP) for our
Armed forces veterans. The Minister informed Mr. Chandrasekhar the main
reason for the delay in implementing OROP were the complexities involved
in the process of calculating the OROP scheme and updated him that
Government has made good progress in this regard.
