G. Mohan Kumar, an Orissa-cadre IAS officer of the 1979 batch, was appointed as the new Defence Secretary here today. Kumar, who hails from Kerala, will take over from RK Mathur, who superannuated after a two-year tenure.(Source- Tribune NewService)
