PM Modi in 'Mann Ki Baat' assures Army of implementing 'One Rank, One Pension'
  • Modi ended his 'Mann Ki Baat' by reiterating his caution against the deadly heat and with a promise to return again with more of his thoughts in the next edition of his radio programme.
  • Modi also urged the people to share their photographs and experiences with him by tagging them with #IncredibleIndia.
  • PM Modi also urged those travelling in holidays to write about their new experiences in their diary so that they could learn, understand and know their country.
  • "Try to experience, understand and know the diversity of our nation, about its culinary culture, clothing, their dreams, their problems," Modi said.
  • "Seeing is believing. When we travel or visit a tourist spot, we get an opportunity to understand and experience the world," said PM Modi.
  • Keeping in mind the summer vacations that have begun, PM Modi urged his listeners to make travel plans, enlisting the benefits of travelling.
  • Modi reassured Army jawans that he will do everything he can for the sake of those who live and die for the nation. "My intentions are pure and my "Mann Ki Baat" that says nothing other than truth, will reach the hearts of people, of that I am sure".

  • Seeking some more time to solve the OROP issue, Modi said, "This issue is complicated, not as simple as I predicted. But I promise that our government will implement One Rank, One Pension, without fail".
  • "Since 40 years this issue (One Rank, One Pension) has been hanging in the air. Previous governments have promised but done nothing to implement it. We've been working in this direction ever since we came to power," says Modi.
  • Moving to the crucial issue of 'One Rank One Pension' (OROP), Modi reassured that his government will solve this issue without fail.
  • Stressing on the benefits of Yoga, Modi said, "Yoga connects mind and heart. Yoga is also a means to drive away the diseases. Besides connecting the body mind and soul, Yoga can also connect different nations of the world".
  • Hailing Yoga, PM Modi said that it was a matter of honour for India as it has become a tool to connect different nations.
  • Taking pride in June 21's celebration as 'International Yoga Day', Modi said, "I put forth a proposal of before UN,which was passed in 100 days through support of 177 nations".

  • He also provided to the students the example of ex President APJ Abduk Kalam who wanted to become a pilot but ended as a president.
  • Preaching more on how not to be disheartened by failure, he said, "Recognising failure gives us the power to live life".
  • Dishing out his tips on handling success and failure, Modi said, "Dream big and proceed ahead. For those who couldn't pass, I say success and failure are part of life, you must not let go of this failure, must learn from it:" 
  • Suggesting that students must choose their career according to their capabilities, Modi said, "It's important that you realize your potential, capabilities and choose your path based on that".
  • Congratulating the students who passed the CBSE board exams, Modi seeks to encourage those who failed. Talking about how not to get discouraged by failure, Modi urges the students to change themselves through action and hard-work.
  • The PM also advised the citizens to help protect birds and animals by keeping water in bowls for them to drink.
