Ex-servicemen of the Indian Armed Forces hailing from Punjab, Haryana, UP, and Rajasthan began a relay hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, demanding the earliest implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme, which was one of the key pre-poll promises of the ruling BJP. Parallel hunger strike is also reported to have been planned to be organised in 50 more cities.
