Encouraging News for OROP

ENCOURAGING NEWS FROM A RETD.GENERAL A MESSAGE/ MAIL RECEIVED FROM LT.GEN.RAJ.KADYAN Dear Colleagues, OROP continues to dominate all our conversations and actions these days. Lt Gen Balbir Singh, President IESL, self and a delegation of JCOs (Capt Nagendar Singh, Sub Maj Om Parkash and Capt Balwan Singh, Joint Convener UF ESM), met the BJP President Amit Shah today (6 July) in connection with OROP. Our findings and assessment after discussion with him are summarised below: a) As President of the Party in power, he is fully seized of the matter and the subject is active in Party circles. Even before we spoke or handed over the brief note, he himself mentioned about the delay in implementation and that Mr Parrikar is working on it. b) While not committing on a firm date when the implementation orders would be issued, he said it would happen very soon. On being further pressed, he quantified saying it would happen in about 8 to 10 days. c) He did not even once hesitate in saying what he did. Based on the interaction, let us assume the orders should be out not later than in two weeks time. Best regards, Lt Gen Raj Kadyan Chairman IESM 262, Sector - 17A Gurgaon - 122 001
