New Delhi | Updated: August 28, 2015 10:43 am Comments (47) Ex-servicemen during their protest over the delay in implementation of ‘One Rank, One Pension’ (OROP) at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. (Source: PTI) The government’s efforts to break the deadlock over the demand for implementation of the One Rank-One Pension (OROP) scheme saw another failure on Thursday night. During a meeting with Army Chief General Dalbir Singh, the ex-servicemen’s representatives walked out over disagreement regarding the proposed annual hike in pension and the date of implementation of the revised pensions. The veterans also threatened to intensify their agitation. Some of them have already rejected the government’s invitation for celebrations marking 50 years of the 1965 war, which begin Friday.
