Indian Military Veterans
Our PCDA has issued the Circular 608 dated 28-10-2018 with 217 concordance tables. Rank and group wise for all Pre 2016 retiries.
We have given one Example of calculation for the Rank of Sgt, Gp X QS; 15 yrs.
The related circulars are - CDA cir- 568, 585 and 608.
As most of our veterans are not aware of their length of service of Last Rank held, the Record Office are advised to verify and arrange for issuing ePPO for each persons which may take a long time.
The CDA circulars 608 says, .Due care is taken in preparing the tables and the revision may be done.
We feel that PDAs are waiting for ePPOs for effecting the revision
A MODEL CALCULATION OF NOTIONAL PENSION
AS PER CDA CIRCULAR 608- CONCORDANCE TABLES.
References: CDA cir 568, 585 and 608
For example : Sgt Group- X Qualifying Service 15 yrs.
As per CDA circular- 568Minimum fitment -Emolument = 14890( 7445X2)
As per Table No 12/13 of Concordance Tables
Take our above Min.Pay ………………14890.
Then as per Para 1 of cir 608, the MSP and X Gp Pay to be added to this arrived rate
Take this rate and equated to Notional pay as 39200 as per table:12/13.( 1 )
Revised MSP as per 7th CPC……..5200-
Revised X Gp as per 7th CPC…… 3600-
( it may be 6200 also- which is for Diploma holders)
Now
arrive the Emolument…Notional Pay….39200.00
arrive the Emolument…Notional Pay….39200.00
MSP…………….. 5200.00
X Gp pay…….. 3600.00
Toal minimum emolument… 48000.00….
As per CDA cir 585, para 5 pension is 50% of Notional pay.
Hence,
n this case, pension is 48000/ 2= 24000.00.
n this case, pension is 48000/ 2= 24000.00.
Presently drawing the rate is.. = 22064.00
So the difference will be = 1936.00
This is how we understand, there may be some other formula also.
For more than 15 yrs Qs, add 3% increment for each year
of service with the Notional pay.
