Dear Sir,
CDS has been created for bringing jointness among the three services.
Good beginning.
But what is required is the jointness in the three PCDAs of the three services for purposes of pay and also for pension.
I have not understood why cannot documentation of the personnel whether serving or retired in the three services be same?
If you see the PPOs of retirees from three services, there is no uniformity.
PCDAs seem to function in silos.
Look at the E-PPO of IAF. They do not give pension by 2.57 method. The bank is very much right if they give lesser pension (than by 2.57 method) to Air Force retirees based on the E-PPO. A copy of E-PPO goes to CPPCs of banks.
There are many errors in the data of IAF retirees in E-PPOs.
Can anyone explain to me as to why the same software developed by PCDA (Pensions) Allahabad be NOT given to Jt CDA (AF), Subroto Park, Delhi Cantt and also to PCDA (Navy) Mumbai so that E-PPOs are uniform in the three services? If ranks among the three services from Sepoy to Service Chief is made equal, if their pay and allowances are same (except for some special allowances like Siachen allowance or flying or submarine or Marcos allowances), pension is same for the same rank with same qualifying service & trade group, is it a rocket science to make documentation same?
Warm Regards,
