Implementation of ACP from 07 Aug 2003 to 01 Jan 1996 as under: -
(a) ACP envisages two pay promotions. It could be one regular and one pay promotion (especially for Naiks).
(b) For Sepoys who put in 10 years’ service, they can get pay promotion of Naik (but continue to perform the duties of Sepoy only) w.e.f. 01 Jan 1996. That means they should have been enrolled on or after 01 Jan 1986.
(b) If Sepoy is from administrative trades (Cooks, Masalchis, Waiters, Tailors, Washermen, Safai, EBR), he can get pay of Havildar on completion of 20 years and on retirement pension of Havildar. For this Sepoy should have been enrolled on or after 01 Jan 1976.
(c) Naiks having got one regular promotion from Sepoy is eligible only for one pay promotion to the rank of Havildar only if he puts in 20 years’ service. If Naik even if retired in the period Jan 1996 to 06 Aug 2003, is NOT eligible to join this legal case if he did not put in 20 years’ service.
