The ECHS is depleted due to lack of funds - Chairman, ECHS Core Committee

Message from Dy Chairman ECHS Core Committee

Dear Friends
Just discussed the current situation with Dy PMO

The Echs is depleted due to lack of funds

Out of a total 53 crores required the government has sanctioned only 43 Cr for this financial year
Further they have cut it to half and till July we will get only approx 22 crores

Out of the above they have given 7 crores till now and the rest 14 crores to be spread over till July end till the budget is announced
These 22 crores also are to support the MEG and Hassan PCS

After that the government proposes to merge all these schemes (total six) including ECHS and CGHS under Ayushman Bharat and no more money will be coming to ECHS

In the interim the purchase of essential and life saving medicines will only be issued
So the present grim situation is purely due to lack of funds

So we have to ride the storm till September and TC (wonder who this is?) will do whatever is possible under the present circumstances to assist the veterans to the extent possible with the depleted budget allocations
Kindly disseminate  this info to the veterans so they are aware of the reason why ECHS can support only so much and no more

Chairman, ECHS Core Committee

For thd above message one of our veteran gave his comments

Quite illogical . Is the signing authy part of the problem OR part of the solution to the grim scenario ?

# It's truly unfortunate that there is NO org representing even a sizeable portion of the ESM family who can ask tough questions .......

# Do we plan to take up the issue in Parliament ?

## Or ,Do we plan to task the ECHS in a court of Law for dereliction of duty , as mandated in their charter of duties ?

### Chairman TSEWA & Col. Raghbir Singh ( Retd) who have always been at the forefront of both , foreseen & unforeseen upheavels amongst the ESM community may like to peruse thru my points & ponder over the subject .....

QED 👊⚓⚓⚓👊
