Purpose of this website


             Pensioners of the Armed Forces  are different from  pensioners of  other departments of the Government of India. Some rules and regulations apply to public services. In order to sensitize them about the various rules, regulations, government programs related to ex-servicemen and the various social assistance programs for families of ex-servicemen, we refer to the government instructions on this subject. , published information on related topics. Here, we will discuss SPARSH, CSD, ECHS, OROPfamily pension, disability pension, Service pension, re-employment with life certificate and other welfare activities  to increase the awareness of beneficiaries.

Types and Rate of Family pension.

Dear Veteran brothers,

Still many  veterans are inquiring the Types and Rate of Family pension.

We are once again publishing  the Types and Rates of Family pension:

Types:

Ordinary Normal  Family pension-    30% of  Reckonable Emolument

Enhanced Rate:   50% of  RE  for 7 yrs from the date of death or upto the 67 yrs of the age of veteran which ever is early.    And 10 yrs  if died I while in service.

Special Family Pension   :    60% of RE

2nd award of SFP………………50% of SFP  or  30% of RE

Liberalised Family   pension:    100% of RE  i.e Last pay drawn

2nd award of LFP  :     60% of RE

Divided Family pension  :   50%  of Family pension to 2nd wife and son/daughter of first wife

Pension on Remarriage:

If the widow is child less,  she is eligible for Family pension.  No pension if there is children

Special and Liberalised   Family pensioner – Remarried - eligible for pension even if she has children from first husband/veteran..

ELIGIBLE FAMILY MEMBERS  TO GET  FAMILY PENSION

LEGALLY Wedded Spouse,   Legally Separated spouse  with certain condition

Children of first wife, Children of Second  wife ( Void Marriage)

Widowed/ Divorced/ Unmarried/ Handicapped / Abandoned  daughters , irrespective of age, but income shall not be more than 9000+ DA.

Sons / Adopted son  up to the age of 25 yrs  or up to the date of marriage which ever is early/ Unemployed.

Dependent Parents  ( Combined income shall not be more than 9000+DA)

Minor brother till becoming Major

Disabled Children –irrespective of age/ gender/ marital status –

 ( income shall not be more than 9000+DA)

HOW TO IDENTIFY THE TYPES OF FAMILY PENSION

Before digitalization, there used to be Prefix  before the PPO number,

After  Digitalisation/ EPPO  there is Suffix  after the Number.

Examples: 

                                                EARLER                                                EPPOS

Ordinary Family pension:    FNA/ 1324/ year                 12 digits  & Suffix;  3000

For Children……………………  FNA/1234/ year         12 digits  & Suffix   3100

Special Family pension &   :    F  / 1234/ year                12 digits  & Suffix : 3300

2nd Award…….                          F/   1234/ year              12 Digits & Suffix: 3600

Liberalised Family pension:  F/BC/  1234/ year             12 digits & Suffix :  3700

2nd award  LFP…………… F/ BC/ 1234 / year          12 digits& Suffix :  4000

RATE    - VERY SIMPLE FORMULA:

.For  ordinary  family pension:    Veterans  basic pension  X 60%

Example:  A Sepoy   whose Basic pension is  17130

Family  pension is=  17130 X 60%= 10278 + DA

For Special Family pension:   Veteran's Basic  X 120%  +DA

For  Liberalised  Family pension: Veterans last pay drawn +DA
