I am Manoj Kumar, Under Secretary, Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare.
As you may be aware that Department of Pension has launched special campaign for digital life certificate through face authentication technology during November 2022 in collaboration with banks like SBI and PNB and pensioners associations in 37 selected cities across India. Pensioners are required to give life certificate for continuation of their pension in the month of November every year. Earlier this was given through physical mode or through biometric devices. Now life certificate can be submitted through face authentication with the help of a Android phone.
Special camp would be organised by banks in these 37 selected Cities. This is scheduled to be held in Ambernath on 16 November 2022 and in Mumbai on 17th November 2022. This camp is organised for both ie for submission of DLC and also awareness of downloading of app in Android phone and its use for DLC by pensioners or family pensioners. So even those who had submitted their DLC in other mode can attend this camp.
I along with Shri Akhilesh Maan have been assigned duty to attend these two camps. We will reach Mumbai on 15 November 2022.
Bank has to arrange banner to be displayed at the gate and inside the hall. They have to make arrangements for water,tea biscuits etc at the vanue.

Camp would be attended by Press, DD news channel and UIDAI officials.
A process to install jeevan praman app is also attached. Please arrange few persons to operate face authentication device ie phone at the camp.
Aadhar number, any mobile number, email for downloding of app, PPO number of pensioners, account number from where pension is being drawn etc would be required for DLC which may be informed to pensioners in advance.
Information may be published through WhatsApp or any other mean for better attendance.
