Table 2022 Published on Reemployment reservation of Exservicemen

OROP 2 New Table 2022 is still waiting and people are eagerly waiting for this . The 15th September- cutoff date for implementation of orop2 is also over. Govt has prayed for more time to SC and it has been granted till 16 Dec 2022. However, it is a positive side that the action in this regard has already been taken . People want only OROP latest news but this is not about OROP table . This Article is related to Reservation of exservicemen in various govt departmet and table of the data in this regard. Insufficient rehabilitation of Ex-servicemen in terms of re-employment is a matter of concern and as you all know that a large number of veterans are unemployed and they are fully dependent on their nominal amount pension which is totally insufficient at their early Fifties.

Resettlement of Exservicemen in Govt Jobs

As it is well known that,  in  all India open examination based recruitments, thousands of ex-servicemen qualified themselves but not recruited by the departments. For example SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC MTS, IBPS, FCI, Railway recruitments etc. Many a times it has been noticed that 10 times more qualified ESM candidates are waiting in the merit list but due to lack of vacancies, only a some of them can be recruited.  Hence it is proved that there are plenty of qualified candidates but lack of vacancies.

In other hand a surprising report has been published through the questionnaire at Lok Sabha recently.  The question by Balubhau (Alias Suresh Narayan) Dhanorkarand and answer by Minister of state SHRI AJAY BHATT IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE  is reproduced here which is self explanatory. The Summary of Unstarred Question No 3442 answered on 05.08.2022 by MoD are as under:-

The reply providedby Ministry of Defene on the questions related to reservation of exservicemen in various govt organisation. According to them (a) out of the 10% of Gp C and 20% of Gp D seats reserved for ESM in Central Government Jobs, only 1.29% Gp C and 2.66% Gp D of the total seats filled by recruiting ESM as of 30.06.2021.

The question was also that (b) if so, whether it is also a fact that out of the 14.5 % of G C and 24.5% of Gp D posts reserved for ESM in Central Public Sector Undertakings , only 1.15% Gp C and 0.3% Gp D of the total seats were filled by recruiting ESM, as on 30.06.2021.

The question is that (c) if so, the reasons for the shortfall in recruitment of ex-servicemen for such reserved seats;

and (d) the measures taken by the Government to fill up such vacant reserved seats of ESM category in the Central Government Departments and CPSUs?

The Answer provided by MoS (Sh Ajay Bhatt, in the MoD : Questions (a) & (b): The percentage of total seats filled by recruiting Ex-servicemen in Central Government Departments and Central Public Sector Undertakings (as on 30.06.2022 are as under:-

Reason for non filling the vacancies by recruiting esm category personnel are as under :
Adequate numbers of ESM are not qualifying for these Posts for want of requisite educational qualification prescribed for the Posts.

Measures taken up by MoD to fillup all the such vacancies by ESM are as under :

The reservation Policy for ESM is implemented by the concerned Government Departments/Public Sector Undertakings. DGR has been designated as the nodal agency to monitor the reservation policy for ESM. The Government issues advisories from time to time, to concerned Departments/CPSUs/Banks/State Governments to conduct special drive to fill up the backlog of vacancies reserved for ESM by adopting relaxed standards of qualifications. Liaison Officers have also been appointed in various Departments/PSUs/Banks etc. to ensure implementation of reservation policy for ESM in letter and spirit.

The ground reality is different from the documents. Lakhs of ESM are in que to get a job in got department at every state.
