Many are approaching me to tell them what arrears due to OROP - II form Jul 2019 to Dec 2019 are they going to get.
It is very simple. You know your basic pension in Jun 2019. Now Min of Def has given your revised pension w.e.f. Jul 2019. The difference is increase in your basic pension which you can call as Arrears per month. Multiply it with 53.26 and you will get your total arrears.
For example the increase in pension and likely arrears from Jul 2019 to Dec 2022 is as under for those who are of Y group and whose pension is more beneficial by 2.57 method w.e.f Jan 2016:-
*Sepoy 15 years' service*
Increase in pension in OROP - II Rs 2145 pm.
Arrears = 52.26 x 2145 = Rs 1,12,072
*Nk with 22 years' Service*
Increase in pension in OROP - II Rs 2817
Arrears : 2817 x 52.26 = Rs 1,47,222
*Havildar with 26 years' service*
Increase in pension in OROP - II : Rs 1710
Arrears = 1710 x 52.26 = Rs 89,357.
You need not approach anyone to know your arrears. You can do it yourself.
