Defense pension is a financial support provided to retired military personnel and their families by the government. It is intended to help them meet their financial needs in their old age and is typically based on the individual’s length of service and rank. The amount of pension can vary depending on the rank and length of service which has been redressed in OROP.In addition to monetary compensation, defense pensioners may also be eligible for other benefits such as health care and education.
Your ignorance and inactiveness may result to stop your valuable source of Living – the Defence Pension. Your Defen Pension may be Stopped after Feb 28 – Take Action Now.
Submission of Life Certificate is a mandatory action required to be taken every year by all pensioners. Due to introduction of SPARSH, it was difficult to submit Life Certificate within stipulated time as framed by Defence pension authority.
In recent days an important notice has been circulated by the PCDA (P) that those who fails to submit Life Certificate by 28 February 2023, pension may be stopped. A copy of the notice is reproduced below :-

Important Notice
Pensioners who have performed Annual Life Certificate (Identification) through any available modes may check their status by visiting link

It is hereby intimated that approval for extension of Annual Life Certificate (Identification) for three months for SPARSH pensioners will be expiring on 28th February.
Pensioners who have yet not performed Annual Life Certificate (Identification) are advised to perform Annual Life Certificate (Identification) by 28th February, 2023 to avoid stoppage of Pension.
