Dear Veterans,
1. I have not yet migrated to SPASRH. But in TSEWA we receive every day a number of complaints from those who are already migrated to SPARSH. Their complaints are of the following types and list of such complaints is endless :-
(a) User id and password not yet received.
(b) Pre - 2016 pensioners though migrated are not allowed to use services of SPARSH.
(c) Widows are unable to upload death certificates and initiate family pension claims.
(d) Life Certificates uploaded from DPDOs are not yet accepted by SPARSH.
(e) Personal Data Verification page contains a large number of mistakes. My wife is living but shown as dead. I am married but am shown as bachelor
(f) I am from Corps of Engineers but shown as from Mech Inf.
(g) Deduction of income tax by SPARSH is more than what my bank used to deducted so far.
(h) I stopped getting pension from Sep 2022. My banks says I am migrated and all my documents have been collected by SPARSH and my bank does not have any document of mine. SPARSH says I am not yet migrated by them.
(j) I tried to speak with SPARSH nodal officers but they do not attend to calls. Even if they attend they simply my grievance is noted and is sent to concerned department for redressal. I have not yet received any redressal.
2. I lodge few CPENGRAMS complaints and received replies for six of them. I already put up replies received from SPARSH for my complaint No 1 & 2. This is my complaint No 3 and reply received from CPENGRAMS is shown below,
3. *Complaint No 3*. Widows whose husbands are Pre - 2016 pensioners but migrated to SPARSH are unable to upload death certificate. They are unable to initiate family pension claim. They have been given family pension since last six months. Kindly take action to receive such death certificates from such widows and commence their family pension. They are mostly widows of low paid Sepoys to Havildars.

4. With reference to your grievance cited above, it is intimated that as of now "Report Death" and "Initiate Family Pension" facility for reporting death of Service Pensioner and Initiating Family Pension claim in respect of widow have been *Opened* for *Pre - 2016 Pensioners*.
5. In case of death of Service Pensioner, widow should "Report Death" and "Initiate Family Pension" through SPARSH PORTAL *www.sparsh.defencepension.gov.in* by herself or by visiting nearest Service Centers or Common Service Centers (CSCs). Presently, many branches of various banks viz SBI, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Kotak Mahindra and HDFC as well as CSCs are working as designated Service Centers. In addition, Defence Pension Disbursing Offices (DPDOs) and various offices of Def Accts Dept are also working as service centre for providing better services to the defence pensioners.
