Job Fair for Ex-Soldiers Organized by DGR

There
is huge employment opportunity here for ex-soldiers. Every year, around 55,000 soldiers and officers retire from the armed forces, but it turns out that only 10,000 ex-soldiers get re-employment in the government/public/corporate sector. Though the government has started various initiatives, it is not enough. With an aim to quickly resolve the existing difficulties, Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence, organized a job fair for ex-servicemen on 19th July 2024 at Jalahalli Air Base (MT Complex), Jalahalli West (Near CTI), Bangalore, Tidy. The job fair aims to connect job seekers with employers and provide a second chance to Ex-Soldiers (ESMs).

Registration for all ex-servicemen will take place at the venue from 7 am to 10 am. To register, ex-servicemen will need to bring their ESM ID card and five copies of their latest resume or photo resume. ESM job seekers have access to numerous job opportunities and an easy recruitment process. Various companies will interview/select to hire ESMs for positions ranging from senior supervisors to mid and senior level managers, strategic planners and project managers.

For
further queries or assistance, ex-servicemen can contact Warrant Officer RK Singh (9742998194) or Warrant Officer R Kumar (8618387821). Companies/firms/employers can register online and book their stalls at www.dgrindia.gov.in. For further queries, please contact the Joint Director (SE & CI), Directorate General West Block IV, RK-Puram, New Delhi-110066 (011-20862542) or
email at seopadgr@desw.gov or drzspne@desw.gov.in.
