REVISED PROCEDURE FOR FANAL SETTLEMENT OF A DECEASED SPARSH MIGRATED ACCOUNT

 


There was a circular 228, from PCDA for final settlement of a deceased Sparsh migrated account. 

Now , this circular is superseded  by anther circular  675  dated 9-7-2024  cancelling cir 228..

 

In that new circular, the amount of overpayment made to a   deceased  pensioner need not

to be  refunded  to Sparsh-RBI account.  The amount lying in the deceased account may be

released to the NOK as per Banking   procedure . A final settlement- death claim settlement.

If there is Joint account, then the widow may be allowed to withdraw  if not,  then

according to the procedure.

Here, after the death of a sparsh migrated pensioner, in normal procedure, the widow is

 granted with  family pension with effect from the next day of death of a veteran.

In this regard, the Sparsh  Authority will recover the over payment made to deceased a/c

in installment from the pension of Family pensioner.  

THIS IS THE LATEST  PROCEDURE.

 All our  senior veterans may please note this and guide the  affected  families in their areas.
