Good news for ECHS members! Changing your parent Polyclinic has become easier thanks to a new feature on the ECHS portal. Beneficiaries with the 64KB ECHS Smart Card can now update their parent Polyclinic online, once every three months.

What is an ECHS Polyclinic?

An ECHS Polyclinic is a dedicated healthcare center for retired armed forces personnel and their families. It offers services like general consultations, specialist treatments, diagnostics, and pharmacy support. To access these benefits, a valid 64KB ECHS smart card is required.

How ESM/Primary Beneficiaries Can Transfer Polyclinics

  1. Login to the ECHS website with your credentials.
  2. Go to your Dashboard and click on More Options.
  3. Select the Change Polyclinic option.
  4. Choose the beneficiary whose polyclinic needs updating.
  5. Pick the new Polyclinic from the dropdown list.
  6. Submit your request.

What the Old Polyclinic OIC Must Do

  • Open the Request for Change of Parent Polyclinic menu.
  • Under Request for Transfer Out, verify and approve the application.
  • Once approved, the request is forwarded to the new Polyclinic.

What the New Polyclinic OIC Must Do

  • Select Request for Change of Parent Polyclinic and access Request for Transfer In.
  • Approve the incoming request, updating the beneficiary’s details instantly.
  • The beneficiary must visit the new clinic and update their card at a kiosk or iCAT machine.

Final Thoughts

This new online system streamlines the process, ensuring faster, hassle-free transfers between Polyclinics. It’s crucial that all ECHS centers inform their members about this update to maximize its usage and benefits.
