Board of Governer Meeting of Army Welfare Placement Organisation (Awpo) Held in New Delhi From 12-13 Feb


         The Board of Governors Meeting (BoG) of Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO) was held in New Delhi on 12 & 13 Feb 2015.  The representatives from All Commands, selected Regimental Centres and all Directors of Placement Nodes attended the meeting. 
AWPO is a Society of Indian Army raised in 1995 with an aim to assist veteran getting a ‘Second Career’ post retirement in public and private sectors.  Over the years this Organisation has grown in size and strength.  Today it has Pan India network of 15 Placement Nodes and 50 Placement Cells.  Approx 10,000 personnel are suitably placed every year.  AWPO has emerged as one point contact for all the Human Resourse requirements for the Corporate/ Industry due to following strengths :-
(a)             Ex-servicemen (ESM) from 159 trades on Pan India/Global basis.
(b)             Large Data base of more than 200,000 personnel with more than 15 years experience.
(c)             Senior Executives (Officers) with qualification being Graduates/Post Graduates, B.Tech/M.Tech, M.Phill, PhD and MBAs.
(d)             Junior Executives (JCOs/NCOs) with minimum qualification being 10+2 and diploma in the age group of 32 years onwards.
(e)             Names offered for employment after diligent screening befitting the profile.
 AWPO runs a  Web Portal, “exarmynaukri.com” which provides access to serving/ex-servicemen in planning the Second Career.
