NON IMPLEMENTATION OF OROP RELAY HUNGER STRIKE AT JANTAR MANTAR NEW DELHI AND FUTURE COURSE OF ACTION

                                                                                                                                                            Dated: 30 June 2015
 NON IMPLEMENTATION OF OROP
RELAY HUNGER STRIKE AT JANTAR MANTAR NEW DELHI AND FUTURE COURSE OF ACTION

Dear Friends,

1.      Today is the 16th Day of the Relay Hunger Strike at Jantar Mantar New Delhi and at more than 50 cities across the country by the Ex-servicemen in protest for Non Implementation of OROP which had been sanctioned since 17th Feb 2014.

2.    The Govts of the day, for the past 67 years have systematically downgraded and degraded Military in their status, Pay & Allowances and pensions.

“The soldier protects what? Guards whom? A piece of terrain! Barren, inhospitable, worthless? No! for  the love of his country and countrymen, his motherland he protects, her  citizens he guards, his KARMA  he performs, with honour and pride,  for your tomorrow he sacrifices his today.”

3.    The Civil Military relations are at its “NADIR”! Why such a state has arisen?  It is,  primarily due the fact that the  Political System in the Country for the  past 67  years have allowed the Control of Military, instead of being under the elected representative ie The Parliament & the Govt  of  the Day, has  schemingly  and through machination, put under the “Bureaucracy”

4.     That the soldiers have to start a Protest Movement & sit on Hunger Strike to get their due Justice is the “Bad Luck of Nation”.

“JIS DESH KE SAINIK SARHKON PAR,
DESH KA DURBHAGYA HAI”

5.     We  at the United Front of Ex Servicemen, beseech the conscience of  the  Nation and ask the  countrymen to  join  and demand from the Govt, due  “Respect and Justice For the  Soldiers”.  One Rank One Pension as per the approved definition must be immediately; implemented without any dilution.

6.    ESM & ESM Organizations are requested to sit on Hunger Strike at their respective locations and also send a batch of 11 ESM to take part in Relay Hunger Strike at Jantar Mantar New Delhi.  Please volunteer the choice of dates.  Each batch to sit on Relay Hunger Strike for 24 hours from 9AM to 9AM next day.

7.     Besides the Relay Hunger Strike, we have given the call to Bycott all Govt functions.  Also, we will go to the States going in for elections to inform the people to elect those who fulfill their pre poll   assurances. We at the United Front of Ex Servicemen have resolved to step up our Protest Movement if OROP is not implemented by 15 July 2015 as per the approved definition without any dilution.

8.    Further action will be informed to the ESM as we go along with our Protest Movement.

“JAD DULDA KHOON SHAHEEDA DA TAQDEER BADLADI KOMAN DI”
 With Regards,
Yours Sincerely,
