Summary of imp  army reforms in last one year. Lets get clarity and avoid rumours.  These are as under.
1. No marks for HC and NDC.
2. Cut down of tp str- Approx 1.3 lacs. In 4 phases in next 5 yrs.
3. DGMT to mov to ARTRAC Shimla.
4. DGRR to mov to valley.
5. First 5 yrs compulsory regimental service for all offrs.
6. No offr less than 8 yrs of service to be posted to AHQ.
7. Min 14  offrs to be posted in inf bns.
8. All DQ, G2 and equivalent appts to be held by re-emp  offrs.
9. All UN msns,  below Col level for only non psc/ overlooked offrs of No 3 bd.
10. Courses  not to be an  overriding factor in promotion bds. Due emphasis to fd service in all arms.
11. No weightage to ACRs earned as ADC, MA, SO to own regtl offrs.
12. No offr to be  posted to MO/ MS second time.
13. Foreign language courses in Chinese, Tibetan, Bhutanese, Burmese language course to be at par with DSSC/TSOC in quantification.
14. Brigs rk likely to be abolished in a phased manner.
15. Tie up with 30 corporate houses for lateral sidestepping of offrs  willing to leave after 20 yrs.
16. No decision on UB area. Status quo.
17. Relaxation in norms on  leaving army post imp career course- HC, HDMC, etc.
