PENSION FOR RESERVIST AND HONY.NB.SUB

ANOMALY IN FIXATION OF PENSION FOR RESERVIST  AND  HONY.NB.SUB

 My dear Veteran brothers,

Here is  an ANOMALY  regarding  fixation of pension of  RESERVIST  AND  HONY.NB.SUB.

We had already submitted these points to OROP Anomaly commission, but no action so far.   We are once again publishing the points to you all.

RESERVIST PENSION:

As per  PENSION REGULATION  FOR ARMY -1961, Part I, page-60, Item No.155,

Pension of Reservist shall not be less than 2/3 of minimum pension of a Sepoy.

Now,  the minimum pension of a Sepoy of 15 ys -7th CPC=6665X2.57=17130.00

Actually Reservist  is eligible for ;  6665X2/3= 4444 X 2.57=              11421.00

But being paid…………..3500X2.57………………………………………………….  9000.00

                                                                                        Difference………   2421.00 .

Similarly  for Hony.NB.Sub

As per  Regulation-   page No.58, Item 137

A Hony.Nb.Sub is entitled for an addition amount equal to 20% of Havildar's pension.

Example:   Havildar ,  Group- Y  QS; 24 yrs   discharged on 1-11-1999.

His basic pension was………….2275  and  on Hony.Nb.Sub it is revised as  2375.

Rs.100 was the additional amount. As per OROP.  Pension of of Hav…7808

As per pension rule  it should be……..7808 +20% += 9370.00

But as per OROP table   it  is Hon.Nb.sub……………  = 8425.00

As per 7th CPC……………………………….9370X2.57=   24081.00

But being paid    8425X 2.57………………………….=   21653.00

                                                       Difference…….=     2428..00

Affected veterans may approach  AFT  for judgment.
