*PRESIDENT IESL MEETS SECY DEPT OF ESM WELFARE (DESW)*
Brig Kartat Singh, President IESL met Secy DESW for 45 mins today. Following points were discussed along with replies thereof:-
*OROP Revision (Equalisation)*. Actively being discussed by the Govt. No firm date committed but amount more than Rs 24 K crore is not available in the budget. After RE Stage the Govt will find some solution.
*ECHS State of funds for TN & Kerala*. Dept does not have reserve funds. This will also be decided after RE Stage.
*CSD*. Although not under DESW but items stopped by RM for imports will not be revised. It's a cabinet decision.
*Recognition of ESM Organisations as confederation by then Hon'ble RM be recognised*. Organisations approved by MoD will be listened to. President emphasised that we are not a trade union and we be heard periodically. Hon'ble Secy agreed.
*SPRASH*. By Mar '23 all pensioners will be transferred to SPARSH. Transfer procedure will be simplified and banks will be advised to accept Life Certificate and transfer to SPARSH.
Next mtg with ESM will be organised in Decafter RE Stage of budget
