1. Today on 16 Dec at 10:35 hrs I received a call from 9422031051- The lady caller identified herself as a staff calling from “ SHATAYU HOSPITAL. This is an empanelled hospital of ECHS NAGPUR .
I had recently been there for my ENT problem.
2. The lady requested me to share the OTP WHICH WOULD come soon.
3. I declined.
4. Shortly after a minute of this call, I received the following SMS

Card No 000001655922-Your OTP for accessing ECHS beneficiary portal is 507227. The OTP is valid only for 5 minutes -UTIITSL

5. I checked with O I/ C ECHS POLYCLINIC whether any new procedure has been introduced for giving OTP to empanelled hospital. He was not aware of any such procedure.
6. I telephoned Gp Capt Sunny Thomas, Regional Director ECHS NAGPUR. He was also not aware of any such procedure. He is investigating the same.
7. I am not sure whether this is the call from cyber crooks.
Please be careful and do not share OTP with unknown persons.
