OROP II Revision Soon : The New Hope Comes to be True

One Rank One Pension was introduced for Indian Armed Forces Pensioners in the year 2015 with effect from  1st  July 2014  and arrears paid thereof to the effective pensioners.  According to the policy of OROP, the 2nd revision of pension under the OROP Scheme was ought to be done on 1st  July 2019  i.e after 5 years of 1st OROP Revision

It is well known that the Armed Forces pensioners have been deprived as no revision of pension under OROP Scheme carried out which was due on  1st July 2019.  The ESM community was never satisfied with the modalities of pension revision under OROP Scheme and the Association  of ESM approached the judicial help with the Appex Court ass  result the revision was subjudice until the verdict come out in 2022.   Primarily the court allowed 6 months’ time to the Defence Pension authority.  Later on the Govt authority failed to implement the Decision of Appex Court and sought extension for 3 months which also passed on 15th December 2022.  ESM Pensioners are confused and lost faith on the action of Govt. 

Orders of Supreme Court of India has already been violated by Govt authority and legitimate rights of Armed Forces Pensioners are being suppressed.  Govt has not expressed anything on the failure of their part. In this situation, ESM pensioners have no choice other than filing a Contempt of Court Case.

Now, the pensioners are waiting eagerly to get their legitimate rights through judicial involvement.
