Important Information for Pensioners on SPARSH* 📢🔔
A post was posted on inputs of ongoing uploading of SPARSH Corrg PPO for OROP 2 in respect of pre 2016 pensioners who are migrated to SPARSH.
Certain doubts, curiosity were expressed and various types of queries were raised by the veterans after going through the post. Gist reply to their doubt, curiosity and query follows. Pensioners will avoid any query if they go through this post carefully.
SPARSH Corrg PPO for OROP 2 have been uploaded and are being uploaded in respect of pre 2016 pensioners who are migrated to SPARSH. However no inputs received yet for post 2016 retirees who are migrated to SPARSH. SPARSH Corrg PPO for Post 2016 retiree who are migrated to SPARSH is likely to follow. Uploaded SPARSH Corrg PPO can be seen in SPARSH Portal after logging in, under Pension Slip Tab. Every available SPARSH Corrg PPO may not be Corrg PPO for OROP 2. SPARSH Corrg PPO on OROP 2 will bear both old and revised pension and period of grant wef 01 Jul 2019.
Corrg PPO for non SPARSH migratee pensioners is likely through ePPO. Corrg PPO of OROP 2 for such pensioners but natural will not be available on SPARSH Portal.
On migration to SPARSH, pensioners will receive migration message through SMS and email. If this message is missed due to any reason, pensioner may find out by monthly pension message. If migrated, he will get different type of monthly pension message as "Dear Customer, INR XXXXX.00 credited to your A/c No XXXXXX on XX/XX/2022 through NEFT with UTR RBIXXXXX by PRINCIPAL CONTROLLER OF DEFENCE ACCOUNT (PENSION), INFO: NA-Concerned bank". If monthly pension SMS comes in old pattern, it means that pension is still not migrated to SPARSH. Pensioner is not needed to initiate any action for migration and migration of pension to SPARSH is automatic and randomly. Have patience. Migration may take even some months. Status of migration of pension to SPARSH may also be checked by method elaborated in succeeding paragraphs.
Pensioners waiting for migration to SPARSH should keep their KYC freshly updated at pension bank with active mobile number, email, Aadhaar number and PAN so that their correct data are fetched by SPARSH during migration. In addition, all veterans should also register for log in with their records office if not already registered, under which will facilitate migration of their correct data. Pre 2016 retirees veterans can also download their ePPO from respective sites after log in. Pensioners should also ensure that their mobile number is linked to their Aadhaar which will help to get OTP during Aadhaar validation after migration.
If Aadhaar and Mobile are not found updated after migration, same may be updated externally without log in on SPARSH Portal. Mobile number will be updated state way but Service Request Token on Aadhaar updation will be subject to approval by Record Office.
*Currently PCDA site is not operational. But certain actions desired from PCDA site can be done from SPARSH portal. Those who want to know their migration status or those who are migrated but have not received SPARSH log in ID and want to know their SPARSH PPO number or those who want to know their Life Certificate validity status (helpful for those who are migrated but not able to log in due to any reason and not aware about status of life certificate), can check from SPARSH portal* https://www.sparsh.defencepension.gov.in/ ,from Service tab without logging in, and click Know your SPARSH PPO, Identification status under Track tab in laptop or PC (This action is not succeeding on mobile). Status of Mobile number and Aadhaar whether updated on SPARSH may also be known by this method.
Similarly, status of Service Request Token may be tracked under Service tab and further under Track tab without log in with help of asked OTP. This external tracking is helpful to those who can not log in SPARSH portal because their Aadhaar is not registered and they update their Aadhaar externally on SPARSH portal without log in.
Those pensioners who are not able to receive SPARSH log in ID and password due to any reason, should add 01 as suffix to found SPARSH PPO number by above method and then log in SPARSH portal as forget password and do other actions for password as asked in steps.
Currently, full profiles are not available on SPARSH portal and edit mode is disabled in respect of pre retiree 2016. However, full profiles may be seen on SPARSH App which can be installed from Play Store. The App can also be used to see many more features.
It has come to notice that many pensioners migrated to SPARSH for a long time have never logged in SPARSH Portal. Also, they have submitted life certificate at bank with PDA as bank and same is not updated on SPARSH. Such pensioners are advised to log in SPARSH portal, also find out status of life certificate and submit life certificate through Jeevan Parmaan selecting PDA as SPARSH to avoid stoppage of their pension.
