India has a large number of ex-servicemen who have served the country with dedication and courage. After retiring from the Indian Army, they face various challenges in finding suitable employment and adjusting to civilian life. To support their transition and reintegration, the Government of India has launched several job portals and initiatives to provide employment and employment assistance to ex-combatants and their families.

This portal is run by the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO) under Directorate General of Army Welfare, AG Branch. The portal also offers career advice, resume writing and interview preparation services for ex-military personnel.  Directorate of Aviation Veterans Affairs (DAV)

 The Directorate General of Air Force Veterans (DAV) is an office under the Air Force Command (SP) that deals with  pension and benefits matters for veterans and veterans of the Indian Air Force (IAF).  DAV provides information, guidance and support to  IAF veterans and their families on a variety of topics including pensions, ECHS, CSD, skills development, rehabilitation, grants, jobs and internships. DAV also maintains a database of  IAF veterans and their skills and qualifications and organizes events, workshops and webinars for veterans.
