New Initiatives and Important Instructions on CSD for All UCS and CSD Beneficiaries
There has always been a controversy surrounding whether military personnel and veterans have access to all URCs. Perhaps you too have experienced this kind of difficulty. You can fight back by citing the authorities mentioned here.
Disagreeing with the IESL representative's response on the above issue, the CS Dte expressed the following regarding the availability of CSD products to all eligible CSD beneficiaries:
Pursuant to CS Dte Policy Letter No. 95350Q/DDGCS/Recommendation dated 1 June 2023, all CSD beneficiaries are allowed to purchase food and alcohol from URCs as per their eligibility. No URC will refuse to sell food and liquor to eligible CSD beneficiaries with valid CSD smart cards.
CS Dte has requested all Stn HQs to issue necessary instructions to all URCs under them to avoid such incidents in future. Further, complainants should be notified via email and a report of the action taken should be sent to CS Dte by 20th June 2024.
