 Car Purchase through CSD :Latest Process 

Buying a car from CSD has just become easier. You no longer need to go to a CSD depot every time. Just follow these simple online steps to complete the process of buying your dream car from CSD:

Step 1: You need to log in to the CSD AFD portal and search for your dream car. If you do not register, you will need to complete your registration on the CSD AFD portal using your personal details and CSD smart card details. When selecting a car, you need to select the option from your desired city, URC, and provider. A list of registered/listed dealers will be displayed in the drop down box. After selecting the vehicle type, URC and dealer, note down the details.

Registration process on CSD AFD portal
Visit https://afd.csdindia.gov.in and click on "Buy Now" and then "Register". Create a username and password.

Note: Make sure you do not make any mistakes while filling the form as once you fill and submit the form, it will be difficult to process and till then you will not be able to book a vehicle or purchase any AFD items on the website. Every time you log in, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile phone. Once you enter the site, click on "Search" at the bottom of the webpage and enter the same vehicle that you have booked at the showroom. Click on it.

Check the price displayed. It should match with the one your showroom specified. If not, ask the showroom to change it.

First, you will be asked for your state, region, diner, etc. Select the diner nearest to you.

Step 2: Go to the dealership you specified to buy your dream car. Complete the necessary formalities with the dealership and book your vehicle. A small deposit is required for booking. The following details need to be recorded in the booking documents:

Engine number and chassis number of the car.

Get a quote for the vehicle from the dealer as per CSD price (price should match with CSD portal).

Get the availability certificate for the car.

Step 3: Log in again to the CSD AFD portal and proceed to purchase the car. You will need to enter your basic service details, canteen ration card number, chip number etc. on the website. You will need to upload your personal documents and the vehicle documents received from the dealer. Upload all the documents like payment proof, AADHAR, PAN, last payment or PPO, availability certificate with engine number and chassis number. Once you have uploaded everything, you need to click on "Create Challan" at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: After completing the initial formalities, you need to pay the entire amount to the CSD store either directly through your account or via bank credit or both.

Step 5: You will receive a summary sheet. Take a printout of this and keep two copies safe along with the other uploaded documents.

Step 6: With all these copies along with your original ration card and ID card, go to NOMINATE URC. CSD Dte will check everything and keep a copy.

Step 7: After 2-3 days you will get an email and SMS to get your PO/delivery order.

Step 8: Collect these from CSD and drop them at the showroom to collect your vehicle.
