Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas Assumes Command of IAF Training Command
 Seasoned air warrior with over four decades of service and 4,200+ flying hours takes charge of shaping the Indian Air Force’s future-ready training architecture.

Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas assumed command of the Training Command of the Indian Air Force on January 1, 2026. On taking over, he inspected a ceremonial guard of honour at HQ Training Command and paid homage at the Training Command War Memorial.
Commissioned into the IAF on June 13, 1987, Air Marshal Shrinivas brings with him more than 4,200 hours of flying experience. Over an illustrious career, he has commanded three premier IAF training establishments, a frontline fighter base on the western border, a premier flying training base, an Advanced Headquarters, and the Institute of Aerospace Safety—underscoring his deep expertise in training, safety, and operations.

He has held key staff appointments, including Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Personnel Officers) at Air Headquarters and Operations Staff at HQ Central Air Command. His instructional roles include Chief Instructor (Flying) at the Air Force Academy and Directing Staff at the College of Air Warfare. Prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Air Staff Officer at HQ South Western Air Command.
