Dear Hon'ble Rajnath Singh Ji,
I am writing to you regarding an anomaly in implementation of OROP-2 where more
than seven lakh veterans especially JCO/OR are not going to receive any enhancement
in the pensions in OROP-2 under implementation. This is causing a lot of unrest
amongst veterans.
Tri Services Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association (TSEWA) has analysed the reason for
it and found that it is mainly due to Veterans who retired during the period of 01 Jul
2014 to 31 Dec 2015 not been given any benefit of OROP-1. Our analyses of the
problem and recommendations are given in the attached letter.
We humbly request that this anomaly may kindly be addressed and suitable orders
issued at the earliest to remove the present unrest amongst the veterans who are under
the mistaken impression that the Govt has looked after the welfare of Veteran Officers
only and not the JCO/ORs in OROP-2.
Warm Regards,
(Sudheer Parakala)
